Irie and Dubful Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in this loop set brought to you by ReggaeLoops.com. The loops are created by Messian Dread (drums, percussion), Sure Dread (Keyboards) and Imro Fedor (conga) and Irie Styles (keyboards+producer). Messian Dread is a pioneer in Dub creations on the computer. His midifiles are spread all over the Internet and his mp3 files are a regular guest in Dub download charts. He has shown with his works, that good dub music can be constructed with a computer. Sure Dread is a very good keyboard player, as you can hear in the loops, his organ bubbles are as authentic as reggae shuffles can be. His melodic reggae is downloaded a lot of times every day. Imro Fedor is the drummer for Jah Roots, and he is also a good conga player.

How Are The Beats Divided up?
You can roughly divide the loops in two main sections: midi and audio. The midiloops are all set at a base tempo of 160 BPM, but the advancement of midi over audio is that you can easily change tempo to make it fit your own mood and inspiration. You’ll find a great variety of authentic reggae drums in different styles: from the meditative one-drop to the highly dancable rub a dub rhythms to militant steppers. The loops also come in both triplets (“swing”) as well as straights so you’ll have lot’s to choose from. The audioloops consist of ten construction kits, each having their own speed and feel (straight or swing).
How many loops?
In each kit you’ll find 25 loops in CD Quality Wav format. They consist of 4 basslines and accompanying organ shuffles and skank hits, easily labeled (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b), 5 drumloops, five drum fills, and 5 percussion loops. Some rhythms are quantizes, some are not. Every kit comes with a conga loop played by Imro Fedor on Supercussion conga’s. Of course you can use the kit as foundation for a track, and sing or play additional stuff over it.
Here is a scheme of the audioloops:
4 BASS LINES
4 ORGAN BUBBLES
2 CHORD HITS
5 DRUM LOOPS
5 DRUM FILLS
Messian Dread about the audio loops…
Messian Dread: “You can insert the audio loops in your favorite audio sequencer any manner you like: Cakewalk, Cubase, Acid. Make any sequence you like with them by inserting a loop in the 1st count of every 4th measure. It’s important that you set the right volume for each instrument. Normally, put conga’s and other percussion instruments more on the background, the organs a little higher then the percussion, and put in the drums and single skanks pretty loud. The bass should be omni-present but not so loud that you don’t hear the other instruments. After you’ve created the sequence (is loop-order) of your choice, it’s time to make a dub. There’s not something as a course in Dub, but I can give you some principals. Let your creativety and inspiration do the rest. Dub is created, by taking stuff out. Most of the time, the bass and the drums are playing, while the other channels are being faded in and out. Effects are applied over the drums and the instruments as they fade in and out. Single hits are being isolated, and put through an echo or reverb. Let your feeling tell you where to put the instruments in and out, just make sure that the bass and the drum play in a big part of the mix (or not, whatever you want…).
“Hard Hitting Drum Loops!”
“I am a reggae drummer from Tahoe, CA, and I found this CD to be very helpful. As a live reggae drummer, I know the feel of the reggae drums like the back of my hand. I have tried other reggae sample cd’s but none comes close to the “feel” in these wav loops. The midi versions are an added bonus!” - Jahregal, Tahoe, CA

Generally, the producers of a project will file these sheets with performance rights societies. There is no cost involved to send in a cue sheet.
Is It Really Possible To Make Reggae With A Computer?
As musicians in the digital age, not only is it possible, it’s almost a nessesity with the level of competition in the Reggae Music industry. Lee Scratch Perry, Bob Marley’s producer, make’s reggae beats every day using the top music softwares out there, like Cakewalk Sonar, Pro Tools and Reason.
By harnessing today’s music technology and loop CD’s like ours, reggae musicians are able to make music faster, and quicker than ever before.
What Is Midi?
MIDI stands for “musical interface digital instrument”. Sly and Robbie’s are two of the pioneers of reggae midi. Imagine being able to record yourself live playing your instrument, and then transpose that riddim into different sounding instruments. It’s 100% possible and greatly enhances your studio production efficiency.

Is It Compatible With My Music Software ?
All Dub Reggae Kit Loops have been labeled with their respective BPM’s, enabled you to effortlessly
